Passing by.

Grey seas and soil, black
Moon, half, could fit in my hand
Waves that leap.
Are dreams lost in my sleep
I’m filled with joy, overwhelmed with fear
By voices that speak.

Neither wrong nor right
Time and again, acquainted with the night.
I looked down the city lane
Distressed and unwilling to explain.

“Lead the way!”
The street lights say.
I chase the twilight,
Not here to stay.

  1. “Fear by the voices that speak”… totally congenial …how beautifully these lines are just to one’s need.
The finishing lines made change or I should say transform my perspective to the whole poem.
    Surprise ending…
Not surprised by your talent to do so..
But the way you turned it into at least two characters in the content.
    Super cool stuff.
Keep that precious intact…and you’ll find more of the content like this coming.

  2. Such an intriguing controversial line to start with…like that rap by Raftaar if you heard of it. Goes like-
“Rang tere baalon ka all black,”
Gray seas and soil, blaaaaaack ( anushk@ version).

Finally a pillow thought style post after that post that seemed more like a tweet😂. Such a treat to read your content.

      1. That was the first ever thought that came in my head…right after reading the first line.
