And for a while

This beautiful silence.
This unexpected susceptibility.
This youthful aggression.

This eld has taught me,
Every demon has a story to tell,
I can still surprise myself.
knowing that it is best to let things be.
They would be mine, if they are meant to be.

There is some incomprehensible force,
Unfathomable, incorruptible;
Fighting darkness to stay in light.
But is this making me unkind?

These winds roam around,
I follow them like a vagabond.
The air adds chorus to singing birds,
Like waves of the sea,
On and off your feet.

And in all these joy filled voids,
Dwell Confusion and clarity,
illusion and hope.
Will battles cowardice,
Smiles swim against tears;
Hand in hand we move, chained together in fear;
Through the ruins and smoke,
Promises broken, bleeding hearts and shattered hopes appear.
With every defeat comes a momentum to try.
We search for the lost crown
And burn the forest down.

And I learned;
With every goodbye,
To nothing
I am bound.

    1. Hey Arshnoor.
      I’m so sorry, I don’t know how your comments went into pending one. I just saw your previous comments.

      I’m really sorry for responding late. I’m kinda busy these days. Lots of work. It may take more time else you can move on with others answer. I don’t want to get it late because of me.

      I’m really sorry Arshnoor. I hope you understand.

  1. Hey BFF ❤️
    Know that I fall in love with you more with each poem that you publish.

    “And I learned;
    With every goodbye,
    To nothing
    I am bound.”
    These lines mark the perfect ending.
    I think when we are together, we are more strong and yes we are learning this art of letting go smoothly.

    I love you Anushka ♥️
    I’ll see you around ✨

  2. Here’s to falling in Love all over again, even though it’s ultimate effect has been so darn painful; the highs were worth it. The only thing I’m still Confused about is that wayward capital C – is it a reference to a Confucian lifestyle?

  3. We can eat all the food we want, get all the stuff we need but that void can never be filled. Because first and foremost, one can never understand what exactly that void is craving.
    But like you said “joy filled voids”, I am pretty sure only joy has the capability of filling these voids.

    You I am going to stay hinged forever to your second last stanza. The most beautiful and strong comeback.
    Keep Inspiring anushk@.
    Keep writing and keep teaching me new words.
    Thank you for writing this.
    I hope that precious stays!

  4. You see that’s the thing about sea wave and you know I could really say it with experience:
    – while on beach you know it’s obvious to get our feet dirty and what’s stopping us from believing that sea is washing it…”on and off your feet”.
    – you see the most interesting thing about the wave even though it knows the work is done …it has washed the feet with the first wave itself …it keeps coming back…see the level of care it gives.
    Exactly like you said, ” They would be mine, if they are meant to be”.

  5. See how easy you make it to relate the poem to real life and that too not just one each and reader of yours can relate to it.
    Who wouldn’t agree that behind every silence there is a holocaust of thoughts going on in our head, destroying sometimes good yet sometimes bad thoughts in our head. Each and every holocaust making sure the person coming out of this silence isn’t really the same…either the same person but with new negativity or the same person with not so practical optimism.
    Just to stay in light have to fight the darkness isn’t really an easy thing to pen down, so beautifully.

    First of all this theme …I obviously could have never imagined of.
    And this doesn’t stay till finding the theme …since I know you personally, how busy your days are and at the end of the day your schedule leaves you with frantic but still I don’t understand how you get to do a brisk walk through your imagination and pen it down in form of a winsome poetry.
    the more I get to read you, the more i get inspired.

    1. What should I say now?
      Please help me out🙈
      I am never busy for the ones…whom I love a lot and you know that.

      A person who himself is an inspiration to me is being too modest now in saying that I inspire him.

        I know you are never busy.
        There is no modesty …you know I mean what I said.
